Hilton Hotel Tower Bridge 2010

The Get Together Family Weekend in 2010 was our first combined Information Day (formerly AMN Day) and Weekend Get Together. We kicked off with accommodation on the Thursday night for those that could not travel to the Information Day on the Friday morning. Friday evening included a performance by the Sing for Joy group including our very own Chris Ogden. This was followed by a meal and ice-breaker quiz. On Saturday, we had for the kids an animal roadshow, and a gentle taster yoga session especially designed for those with AMN symptoms. We also organised a tour of HMS Belfast, followed by, in the evening, a bouncy castle, face painting and balloon modelling for children, whilst the adults took part in a raffle. Finally, Sunday morning gave our members a chance to see our two charity shops and see first hand what we are doing to raise awareness and funds, signing off with an afternoon lunch.

Thank you for your support! ...

We played a Mixed game against LSE today and had a 6-10 loss in a very well fought and fun match! Thank you LSE for being great opponents today! Also, as in the photos, we have all painted our faces the colours of Rare Disease Day which is upcoming on the 28th to show support for ALD Life, the charity who help patients and families of Adrenoleukodystrophy and Adrenomyeloneuropathy. Please help us to provide better awareness and find better treatments. You can help by raising awareness and taking part or donating by texting 'ALDL18 £5' to 70070. Or you can donate on Just Giving here - www.justgiving.com/campaigns/charity/aldlife/rarediseaseday2018 We want anyone and everyone to paint their faces and pass it along!
