Fundraise for us

ALD Life Scarecrow Stall

Without generous support from our members, we couldn’t continue to support patients and families with ALD and AMN. Every year, hundreds of people get involved in organising a community fundraising event, putting collection buckets in their local shop, or simply distributing our charity leaflets to help us raise awareness of the charity.

To help you with your fundraising journey, we have created a simple fundraising pack – filled with innovative ideas to help you raise funds and awareness in your community.

If you have any fundraising ideas, or would like resources such as banners and leaflets, please send us an email to info@aldlife.org – and we will see what we can do.

Zach Jolley’s Charity Ball, 7 March
This year, brave ‘Iron Boy’ had a charity ball organised in his name – following his ongoing Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT).

Mandy Weedon, Zach’s greataunt, organised a brilliant charity ball to help raise funds for ALD Life. She managed to get a professional auctioneer, Myles Sanko who is a local singer and now touring Europe, and even our medical advise Dr Colin Steward to give an ‘Oscar winning’ speech about ALD.

During her fundraising journey, she received a £500 from Thomas Cook, sold merchandise for £150, and received an amazing £9,254.22 on the night. Altogether, Mandy raised £9,926.22, giving brave Zach a lovely trip to Disney and ALD Life £6,426.22 to continue supporting families with ALD like Zach’s.
