Lawrence Prifti was 7 years old when his symptoms began. He was diagnosed with ALD, adrenoleukodystrophy, losing his ability to walk soon after. He passed away in 2005, aged just 8.
His mother, Virginia, talks to ALD Life about coping with her son’s death, from keeping his body at home before the funeral, to establishing a charity in his name.
